This is sturdy, black pipe. There are four mounting holes on each side. It will hold your cooking pots if that is what you purchase it for. The hooks that come with it are possibly the weakest point. I would plan on upgrading those if you do plan to hang cookware. The pipe is sturdy enough for cast iron, I wouldn't use the hooks. I purchased this for another purpose. It matches my home office Industrial style. I am using for hanging cords, earphones, etc. Great addition to my decor. I think this piece has a lot of flexibility. I can see these as towel holders, handicap grips, etc. In my home I can think of several ways to put this item to work! Just guessing, I will be a repeat customer.
