Review on Sorel Whitney Puffy Toddler Little Boys' Shoes & Outdoor Gear by Chadwick Webster

they are not waterproof

I liked the look of these boots. My son was comfortable in it the first time he wore it and he was able to walk in it when hiking in cold weather. However, a toe slipped in a puddle or at a Titans game today when the ice in the corner melted to slush around his felt leaving my son with cold and wet toes. Luckily it was sunny so we could remove our boots and socks and let them dry in the sun while my son warmed his fingers with heating pads and two batches of new socks from the gift shop. I paid $100 for them last November and he wore them twice over Thanksgiving weekend 2021 (toes got wet the second day) and then wore them twice yesterday and today, another flop today. It doesn't get very cold here in Tennessee, but I'd love to be able to buy waterproof boots that are actually waterproof.

Pros
  • Great boots, the usual good quality from Sorel, feet stay warm and dry. Fit is normal.
Cons
  • Some children may find it difficult to put on and take off their shoes, which can lead to frustration and possible injury.
