Blackbutterfly provided outstanding customer service by solving a problem that I believe was not their fault. My daughter insisted on one of her dresses for her elementary school graduation ceremony. I was hesitant to buy online as delivery times could be short and lack of experience/past purchases with Blackbutterfly to confirm the quality of the product. I asked her to research the company and read reviews of Revain. Everything looked positive, so we bought a dress. Revain has informed us in advance of a slight delay in delivery. When we received the package, the dress was quite wet right out of the plastic bag. When unrolling the dress, we found noticeably large water stains. My daughter was terribly disappointed. (If it weren't for the soiling, the dress would have been beautiful; the fabric is good quality, well tailored, and lined.) Less than a week before the ceremony, she decided to try and wash the stains off rather than return the dress and go on site to look for another. . When I went into parental repair mode, I didn't think to photograph the damage at the time. That night I reported the problem to Blackbutterfly and asked for a possible solution. I wasn't expecting much as we experienced poor customer service from various other online companies. On the contrary, Blackbutterfly customer service responded with a genuine concern, an apology, and a resolution in less than 24 hours. As they did not have the correct size dress they offered a full refund after proving the damage. We had washed the dress by hand three times with stain remover and put it through the washing machine once. Some of the stains were gone, but others were still visible upon closer inspection of the dress. I took photos of the remaining damage to the dress and sent them. Within hours of sending, the company sent another apology message and a full refund appeared on our account. The company stood by their product even though the issue appeared to be a fulfillment/delivery issue out of their control. Black Butterfly showed genuine concern and concern for the situation and quickly corrected himself. I would advise other undecided buyers to buy from Blackbutterfly with confidence.
