These cables were purchased for use in our vehicles when traveling. We've been using them in two cars for about 6 months now and haven't had any charging issues. USB ports in the car don't have much power, so charging is slower than with an AC adapter. We take cords to motels when we travel and use the AC adapter and charging is very fast. We have 1 cable that we leave plugged in in the charging area at home and it gets used more often but doesn't disconnect at the end of the adapter. There were no problems with this home cable either, and it is used much more often, including by grandchildren for their devices at a party.
