Keep your board warm in the snow

I bought these last minute before a trip to Colorado in February. I was planning on wearing them only occasionally but due to an injury I couldn't snowboard so they became my favorite shoe. Every day I spent hours out in the snow while my family went snowboarding. The shoes almost always stayed warm. The only time there was an issue was towards the end of the day when it was snowing and we were at a higher elevation (about 12,000 feet) on the subway. After about 1 hour and 15 minutes at this altitude, it became noticeably cold and uncomfortable in the right shoe. Although it might have something to do with my injury. The next day we went snowmobiling in temperatures that started out at 3 degrees below zero and my legs didn't mind the cold (hands are another story). I couldn't walk in these shoes due to injury, but I look forward to the day when I can.

Pros
  • Breathable design prevents excessive sweating and odor build-up
Cons
  • May cause discomfort to runners with sensitive skin.
