The toe box is too tight in my opinion.

I am a woman who bought Ghost shoes, both women's 8.5 and men's standard 7. They fit great. So when I wanted Gore-Tex shoes since the Ghost GTX isn't available in either women's 8.5 or men's 7, I tried these men's shoes 7 Kaskadie. The shape of the shoe was very different from the Ghost and they were narrow at the widest part of my foot. I really wanted to like these shoes as they seemed well made and well cushioned but I had to send them back.

Pros
  • Bought for my wife, no complaints so far.
Cons
  • They run small compared to other Brooks shoes. I've worn them on the street before, so I don't think I can exchange them.

Great all round hiking shoe

Brooks Cascadia is the best all-round hiking shoe for men and women. After discovering how comfortable and durable men's shoes are, I bought a pair for my daughter, who loves her Cascadia as much as I do. They wrap securely and almost imperceptibly around your foot, protecting your foot when you're climbing rocks or crossing a stream. This is a great investment for travelers of all experience levels.

Pros
  • I like this
Cons
  • I only wear them to work, after only 3 months the top strap broke and obviously they cannot be returned or exchanged.

my new favorite hiking shoe

I love these running/hiking shoes. Stable and comfortable. Just walked a 6 mile trail with lots of rocks and tree roots. I was fine, but my hiking partner, who was wearing fall-free shoes, complained of sore feet. Go half a size larger than your street shoe size so your feet don't swell when you hike. Women's size 7 is perfect for me. I have just ordered a second pair even though they are still my size!

Pros
  • PREVIOUS BROOKS OF THIS BRAND WERE BETTER COMFORT
Cons
  • Two weeks after buying these shoes there were holes in the toe box.

Love me a little Brooks!

What not to love. This is Brooks. Comfortable, great protector. Makes you want to go hiking. I have to admit I slammed my foot hard on the rocks through the net.

Pros
  • This is a great hiking shoe for a tall man.
Cons
  • Run

A shoe broke within a month of buying it.

I really liked these shoes until a month after buying them they started slipping from the laces. I have emailed Brooks regarding this but have not received a response.

Pros
  • Always keeps feet safe and secure on steep and rough terrain
Cons
  • Maybe not the best value for money

Great shoes! in my rating

I ordered a half size up as recommended by other reviewers. You are perfect! Light but not flimsy and very comfortable. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Ideal for trail running, not asphalt
Cons
  • Limited color options

fall apart after one wash

I liked them so much that I bought them in 3 colors. But they fall apart after a wash, as another reviewer wrote. They are so comfortable and perfect for the trails. I love the look and I love Brooks, but what tennis shoes can't be washed in the washing machine?

Pros
  • Great work shoes! Very comfortable and waterproof
Cons
  • Not suitable for motorway driving

Disappointed best in my rating

I researched the Brooks website, read the reviews and settled on this show. I wanted to wear such good shoes, but to no avail. I hurt my toes in these shoes and after walking half a block I got leg cramps. I have never owned a shoe that hurt my feet so badly. I had to turn around and come back. I'm so disappointed, I really wanted good shoes once and for all.

Pros
  • Fits great, feels very good. Be prepared to hike and walk, especially because of the Gore-Tex.
Cons
  • May cause blisters or hot spots

Bach is the best

This is the best shoe brand ever! I work on my feet every day and they save me! I love this particular style because there is no white anywhere. White shoes don't suit me.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • Cannot grip well in rocky terrain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A grip you can rely on

Excellent fit and finish. The grip is amazing. They were great shoes for daily runs on rough, wet trails. Riding down multiple different wet surfaces in Northern California, I feel more confident than even in Danner boots. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Can be worn in a variety of weather conditions, from sunny to rainy and muddy.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate toe protection.

Love it! - my new rating

I love these shoes! This is my second pair and they fit perfectly and support my feet so much when I work out. I will buy them again and again! So it's worth splurging on them!

Pros
  • I like the color, the style. They are soft, I love them.
Cons
  • May not provide enough cushioning for long-distance runs.

Uncorrected design flaw with laces. Please correct!

Yes I want my money back because the shoes did the same thing that someone else said was wrong in their review. Either Brooks needs to address the quality of the shoes or they need to lower the price.

Pros
  • I love these shoes! Replacing another pair of Cascadia. Just a great trail running shoe.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for runners with wide feet.

Great shoes!: my rating

After reading the reviews of these shoes I wasn't sure if I should buy them. Glad you did! I have walked in them once so far and they felt comfortable and supportive. I'm a size 6.5, I usually wear 6 but these fit perfectly. These are also my first official running shoes so I'm very happy they work!

Pros
  • Komodos and Duraderos
Cons
  • May lack flexibility for certain running styles.

I bought these shoes for the Pacific Northwest winter which is quite wet. Gore-Tex is essential if you want to keep your feet dry during long hours of snow and rain runs. The Cascadia 14 GTX is very waterproof and keeps my feet warm and dry. The grip is very good in muddy and wet terrain. Haven't tried it on a lot of snow yet. I'd love to test the traction in different conditions, but for now this seems to be one of the best running shoes for gripping uncomfortable wet and muddy terrain that…

Pros
  • Very convenient. I love all the updates to the Cascadia line.
Cons
  • May not be a secure fit for runners with small ankles.

Holes in the tissues of both big toes within a month.

The shoes are disappointing. There was no feeling of softness and within a month or two both big toes developed holes. Customer service was excellent; I sent the shoes back and received the refund within a few days! Just disappointed in this Brooks shoe.

Pros
  • I like my new shoes
Cons
  • May not be wide enough for some runners.

May work for some. Not for me.

I love the old Ghost 10 and Glycerin 17. I'm looking for waterproof shoes so I jumped on them when I found Brooks had them. I wore them once. My feet have walked a quarter mile. Not for me. I don't know if the weather protection is good. We're sending them back now.

Pros
  • Run every morning in 32-40 degrees, stay warm. Excellent l
Cons
  • May not be breathable enough in hot weather

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good trail runner for the price

Not as much arch support as I would like and a little less cushioning, but they do the job when running trails. I don't think they will last as long as my New Balance shoes but they should be durable enough for the season. The profile is excellent for road and terrain

Pros
  • Those are the only shoes I wear.
Cons
  • May not provide enough arch support for some runners.

Great shoes for trail running

I took them specifically for trail running. Very convenient. Good bow support. Excellent grip even in semi-muddy conditions. The rollover didn't last long. Haven't had wet socks yet.

Pros
  • It is great!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for runners with narrow feet.

Brooks Cascadia are amazing!

Love these shoes so much! I got them because several of my friends finished their Appalachian Trail hike in them and said they were the right fit. You didn't lie! They are light and have good traction. I'm a size 8 and I got my size, they are perfect and don't even fit with wool socks. To be honest it seems like I don't even have to break them that hard. Brooks are great, definitely quality shoes.

Pros
  • It works out!
Cons
  • May not provide sufficient stability for some runners.

Do not buy! good for me

Don't buy this. I bought it for my wife and only wore it twice. These are the most uncomfortable Brooks shoes ever. She drops it. I bought another one, Brooks Revel, and everyone is praising it!

Pros
  • Great walking shoes
Cons
  • Like the fit and color. But I have to say disappointed with the comfort. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! You failed me this time.
