Okay, I know something must be the cause, but I installed it outside to silence the neighbour's incessant barking dog. Branches next to the rumble cause it. The door slammed. car horn. It really needs a sensitivity adjustment. The directions aren't clear - at one point it says 25 feet. Another says 50 feet. It is charged via USB. But for outdoor use, it really needs mounting - and there's room for a screw. But to charge it has to be unscrewed. Hanging on a nail is inconvenient, because then you will not be able to aim. I have to hang it on a tree or put it on a fence. On the fence it will probably be stolen - I don't know why they singled it out like that. The dial on the front allows you to choose different frequencies so the dog doesn't get used to it and the device turns off. .I made a loop to hang it up so it's easier to take with me and charge - I need this as the battery doesn't last more than 24 hours.
