So this type of relay has been my staple for decades, used on boats, RVs, trucks and more recently boards. Why I use them is that without having to flip a switch or think about it, you always charge one battery or battery bank first and then when it's fully charged charge the other. boonies and I like having 12v power without having to start the truck and worry about it not being able to start. So I have this little device that I can use to isolate just what it takes to get the truck running. I mean ONLY. no light, no heating, nothing but engine management, injection and starter. the main battery charges and then the backup deep cycle batteries begin charging. This way I can listen to the stereo, use the lights, use the inverter, etc. and still start my truck and get home as I often don't have cell phone reception and help for day long walks. This product makes this possible with a wired connection. right Good equipment.
