The smell wasn't overpowering, just enough to relax me a little. They also lasted longer in the bath than any other bath bomb I've used. My husband loved them and so did the boys. And they weren't too strong for my boys. (They are 4 and 2) The only thing I can say I didn't really like was the color scheme. However, the guys loved her for that very reason. And they didn't paint the tub, they just painted the water fun colors. My preference conflicted with my children's love of this aspect. Hints why I didn't say under 5 stars. I also really liked the masculine scents rather than the overwhelming vanilla or pink porridge flavors that are mostly associated with what women like. Make sure you have a knife handy to open, each bubbly ball is shrink-wrapped. (I'm sure everything stays crispy and fresh, delicious for that special bath moment!) But both my husband and I couldn't open them without a little help from something spicy. Which again is fantastic if you have curious little hands. You don't want the kids you have at home doing anything to them that they weren't meant to do! That was great!
