This projector is very good, but it has some disadvantages.

In a simple comparison of cost and performance, this projector is impressive. BUT if you are looking for a quality projector. this one lags behind. If you are reading this you are probably trying to understand why these types of projectors are so much cheaper than big brands while claiming to have the best performance. I had my doubts, so I bought this projector and a BenQ HT2050A ($650 at the time of writing) to see if it was worth the extra money (spoilers. It is). Here's what I found out: 1. The "lumens" claimed by these cheaper LED projectors are misleading. The rest of the industry does not measure in "lumens" but in "ANSI lumens". To their credit, at least this projector lists ANSI lumens (that's 610 compared to BenQ's 2200). But if you are in a dark room, 610 is enough to get the job done.2. The optics of these projectors are nowhere near as good as those of the BenQ. Focusing requires fine tuning and never seems perfect. When using a networked computer, I found that any text was slightly fuzzy and blurry at the extreme 10% edges of the screen. For example, the time in the lower-right corner of the window was still legible but blurry. At the same time, the center of the screen was very sharp. The BenQ didn't have this problem and focused easily and evenly. On the plus side if you're watching a show or a movie. They rarely focus on small details around the edges, and even looking for it, I couldn't find it during use.3. In comparison, you'll see similar useful features on these cheaper projectors, but they don't really work the same and are inconvenient to use. Specifically, the Zoom and Horizontal Keystone features. When BenQ zooms, the physical element in the projector moves back and forth, making the overall projected image bigger and smaller. With WiMiUS, scaling is done in software and the projected image stays at the edges of the smaller window. But the worst of them is "Horizontal keystone distortion 50 degrees". Once you're at a decent angle (20 degrees or more), it's impossible to keep the entire image sharp. If you have rotated every 50 degrees, one side may be sharp and the character on the other side may not be discernible. Again, the BenQ stays evenly focused when using horizontal keystone correction. List of pros and cons for this projector: Pros: 1. Price2. Good color and contrast in a dark room 3. An LED light source is likely to last longer than a projector and generate less heat4. Easy to use and the remote control is great. Cons: 1. Uneven sharpness/clarity2. As the light is dimmer, any lighting in the room will completely ruin the color and contrast3. Appeared to run at a lower frame rate when playing.4. You can place it in a limited space without degrading the picture quality. The bottom line is that if you're looking for a decent quality home theater projector, you're spending your money to upgrade to a better brand projector. However, if you don't think you have high image quality standards, or just want a projector for a casual Super Bowl party or backyard movie night, this is a perfectly fine option.

Very clear vibrant picture, blacks are black, tones are perfect, and overall brightness is awesome.
