Review on πŸ“· Bower SLY2414OD: Enhance Olympus 4/3 Digital Camera Shots with Wide-Angle 24mm f/1.4 Lens by Luis Tuazon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I bought and used this Bower 24mm f/1.4L lens while my 16-35 f/2.8L was on loan

This is a great lens. It's spicy. It is well built and is offered at a very reasonable price. It's sort of a culture shock. It's completely manual. I haven't shot like that in a long time. My 5W3 was stunned when I put it on. No AF. No AE. I don't know what condition the lens was in. For Canon photographers, I recommend Av (Aperture) mode for Live View focusing. The tiny instruction page, loosely translated from Korean, seemed to mention it. Don't panic if you find yourself deep in the "analog" world. Select Av mode, see the world in Live View, adjust the fine focus ring (0.62ft to infinity), adjust the exposure wheel (click stop from f/1.4 to f/22) and press the key. If there is enough light, you can shoot Av, Tv or M with the viewfinder. But night shots forced me to set up shooting with Av and then switch to M for later shots. It works well. play with it This is funny. My student returned my 16-35 after 3 or 4 days and I had no reason to complain. The Bower 24mm f/1.4 slowed me down enough to make me think a little more about my shots. take action. My student returned my 16-35 after 3 or 4 days and I had no reason to complain.
