Not the biggest. best in duvet sets

I bought this duvet set because I wanted something warm for the winter. On the other hand, it is very soft and INCREDIBLY warm. Almost too warm. I often find excessive heat uncomfortable when trying to sleep, although I should mention that I've always been someone who overheats easily. Others may find the warmth that a blanket provides. My issues with the duvet: 1. I took the advice of other reviewers and bought a king duvet for my queen bed. The king just covers the mattress on either side of the bed so I don't think a queen would have worked. The cut seems a little tight and I don't like that I ended up getting king size overlays as well. I had to buy new pillows to match them.2. There is a problem with the lint. This blanket not only attracts a lot of lint (I bought the black one so it definitely doesn't help) but also releases a lot of lint. I was expecting the dryer tray to have quite a bit of lint on the first wash and there was, but there was a lot of black lint if I washed it regularly. I think it must stick to my clothes. There are also a lot of black hairs in my comb. After 2 months of use, the top of the blanket was covered with small hooks. I'm not sure what's causing this. I don't have any pets and can't think of anything that could snag on fabric. I have a blanket from another manufacturer but in the same style with a fleece lining and it has had a lot more abuse in the form of notebooks, pens, pencils, notebooks etc and it still looks good after over a year. I think it's a quality problem.4. The fluffy side is nice but the top is really thin and sparse. Also, the filling is kind of spotty and lumpy. I've only washed it once and the filling is already curling in the corners. It wasn't an expensive blanket, so the poor quality isn't entirely surprising. I think I was hoping for something that looked good, at least at first glance, even if it didn't hold up well. I think you get what you pay for. I will keep this blanket as a spare but I don't think I will continue to use it every day. I would not buy this blanket again.
