Review on 🧴 Leak-Proof Thermal Bottle with Flip Lid by Rubbermaid, 16 oz., Black by Summer Hendricks

I rotate 4 of these Rubbermaid mugs (all 4 colors!) and after 2 years of almost daily use I can confidently say these bad boys are by far my favorite travel mug . I used to be a staunch supporter of the Contigo West Loop mugs until one day I was washing one of the overly complex lid fittings and a huge piece of mold fell out. I checked my other 4 cups and YES, huge fluffy masses in each of them in the same spot. I immediately abandoned that relationship with the mug and went in search of something with a plain lid where mold couldn't hide. Do you know how impossible it is? Everything either has retractable mechanisms or seals or other places that make them difficult to clean. No Rubbermaid mug! The flip-top lid closes completely so I can toss a full mug in my bag without a second thought, but it doesn't rely on a crazy Rube Goldberg-inspired array of buttons, levers, and springs to shut it tight hold, so I know it will be clean in the dishwasher. The only part that *might* feel a bit rough is the tiny rubber grommet on the flip cover (about the size of an eraser). I only take it off from time to time to clear any dirt that may have built up and that's because the only seal is on the lid, I can just take it off, clean everything quickly and then put it back on and not have to worry about it Be careful not to accidentally flush the improper seal down the drain. Oh YES, besides being easy to clean, it keeps my drink hot for hours! At this point I was honestly willing to give up a hot drink in favor of something that wouldn't mold in the lid, but instead I found my holy grail of mugs. No less from Rubbermaid. who knew Now I'm buying some for my daughter to go to college because she can't take mine ;)
