These lights work great if you don't have other smart home lights and just need some colored light occasionally. The colors are excellent and the brightness is good. However, if you have other smart lights and switches, they don't fit well into your smart ecosystem. I wanted them to work because I didn't want to pay $50 for a bulb for a Philips umbrella. These lights only work with 2.4Ghz WiFi and I actually had to move them farther from the access point to find them to connect to. I don't know what you're talking about. I connected 3 to the app, tested, then connected 5 more and rediscovered the first 3 so had to rename everything a second time. I'm scared of what will happen if I want to add more in the future as I also add them to Revain Alexa so I have to reprogram each light every time I add more bulbs. Also, these indicators will light up 1-2 seconds after turning on the switch. It's quite annoying but I was okay with the price until I noticed that after a day they randomly go into "setup mode" which means they start blinking. So I had 3 bulbs in my ceiling light and they all flashed constantly when I turned on the switch. Turning the switch off and on will not fix the situation. I had to turn it off for a few minutes and then turn it back on to get them back to normal. Another big con for me is that they don't connect to Smartthings. One reviewer said they didn't connect their lightbulbs to smart things right away, but I don't think that's true because I couldn't even find dedicated device handlers that would recognize those lightbulbs. I tried 6-8 different device handlers and nothing recognized them. The manufacturer does not claim to work with smart things, I only leave information for potential buyers.
