You need to open tcp-8886 for it to work

Setup: When I picked up the first setup I was connected to my 5GHz network so of course it failed. I had to do some digging to find my 2.4GHz network, but if you need to change it when registering your phone, just tap the SSID name to open Wi-Fi settings and connect to connect to your 2.4 GHz network. You will also need tcp-8886 which is open to the internet, looks like it only works with US IPs at the moment. If you have an application firewall, you can optionally block it for SSL and TCP-8886

We were fine for a while, now after a few months they stopped working

***UPDATE:*** After a few months with these headlights all started flickering , losing connection and switch off. If they're online and turn them off via the app or Alexa, they'll turn themselves back on after a second of being disconnected, and won't turn off again. We had to use a light switch in the living room and bedroom, and we installed 4 switches in each room. Now after trying ALL the bulbs including the one replacement bulb they sent me I will say don't buy them. These headlights can't

Don't buy if you have a Smart Home Ecosystem

These lights work great if you don't have other smart home lights and just need some colored light occasionally. The colors are excellent and the brightness is good. However, if you have other smart lights and switches, they don't fit well into your smart ecosystem. I wanted them to work because I didn't want to pay $50 for a bulb for a Philips umbrella. These lights only work with 2.4Ghz WiFi and I actually had to move them farther from the access point to find them to connect to. I don't know
