Review on πŸ§‘ Kids Crafts Made Easy with Perler Beads Large Square Pegboards - Set of 4 by Lori Aguirre

Board rises in center when heated

My kids loved having a large craft board but we were all so disappointed when we ironed their beads. Unlike our other ironing boards, this clear plastic is sensitive to the heat of the iron and rises in the center when heated (it also turns cloudy, further proof that it is heat sensitive, unlike our little solid). colored plates). When ironing, the board warps with a hump in the middle and does not lie flat underneath. It flattens out again as it cools, but we've found that this isn't the case with our creations as they cool much faster and retain their plank shape, when ironing is finished. We've tried taking them off right away (oh, and they still won't flatten) and leave them there until the board cools and flattens out. I bought these specifically for a big perler bead project that we wanted to make really pretty, but I'm glad we played with them first so we know this project won't turn out as nice and flat as all of ours small boards. I don't know why they changed the type of plastic used for the boards to one that reacts to heat! which we really wanted to make pretty, but I'm glad we played with it first so we know this project isn't going to come out as nice and flat as all of our little boards.
