Product Overview

It works. However. The material is cheap. Do not get angry. If you have a little patience you can get the article working. The SSD can be used without problems. What could be the problem? With SATA power and data cable connection. Because the dock is made of cheap plastic, the rear end of the SSD rests on a "shock absorber" that prevents it from sliding further. This bumper is made of plastic that is too flexible. Turn on SATA power to attach the cable to the SSD drive? This will push your SSD forward by plugging the power cord into the SSD. problematic, to say the least. Expect the same with a SATA data cable. Do you want to remove the SSD from the lower compartment? Be prepared to remove the ENTIRE tray from the 5.25" drive bay. This is also problematic as you now need to REMOVE the SATA power and data cables. Which very easily causes the SSD to reset or hang. This is especially an issue if you have a graphics card that is preventing your 5.25-inch bays from opening up internally. This is disappointing. It is recommended that you connect the power and data cables in some way BEFORE installing the tray. A 24 inch data cable makes this easy. Distance? Try to push the SSD into the tray before unplugging the cables; SSDs tend to come out with cables when the cables are tightened. Pros: 1. It works. Especially if you have patience.2. Cheap. You get what you pay for. CONS: 1. The cable retainer pushes SSDs into the tray.2. Is it stuck in the shells? Not really.3. remove cable? Your SSD will come out with cables. WHAT I DID? I keep this item on the shelf. I installed the SSD in separate bays. I will look for another cart that fits my internal 5.25" bay.
