I bought this about a year ago and used it with my Iphone X. I just stuck a magnet in the back of the case when I got in the car. Usually he stayed where he was. Sometimes he flew away or turned around while moving. Overall it was a great idea and I've taken several 7 hour rides with this magnetic dashboard adapter without any major issues. I recently received an iPhone 12 with magnets (magsafe). I was hoping that the magnets in the phone would be strong enough to stay in place without having to add an extra magnet to my phone. That's not the case. The magnet holds the phone but starts to slip. It will definitely fall off during driving. Remember that we keep updating all phones with Magsafe. magsafe probably won't stick well enough and you'll still need to put an extra magnet in the case when using this adapter.
