This car seat was exactly as described and was carefully packaged. My Pomeranian only weighs 8 pounds so this is the perfect size for him. I would say it would be fine for dogs up to 25lbs. I love that it has a collar or harness attachment (I recommend using a harness) and there are multiple ways to attach it to the car seat. Unfortunately, the back seat of my car doesn't have a headrest to connect to, so I had to build one to secure my car. I used the front strap and wrapped it around the passenger seat headrest and then wrapped the rear snugly around the seat belt behind the car seat and put the seat belt in the retainer. I simply folded back the part that was supposed to be connected to the headrest behind the car seat. It's not perfect, but it works. I love that it has a zippered front pocket. I put a towel in in case my puppy goes to the toilet, I can just wash the towel which would be much easier than washing the car seat. Mind you, dogs are much safer in the back seat than in the front seat of a car. Think of it this way: Would you put a child in the front seat? No, so you can't accommodate a dog there either. Place the car seat in the back seat behind the passenger seat so you can easily look around and see what your dog is doing. I recommend this car seat and find it very reasonably priced. They cost more than double at pet stores and won't make it to your porch!
