I confess I only bought this robe for the color. Purple lovers will understand what I mean. It's very hard to find a good shade of purple and what you get isn't always what it looks like in the description. BUT, this purple is gorgeous! It's dark purple, not light purple. These are NOT grapes. It's a plum, but not a blackish plum. I've tried showing it in a few different lights and alongside black so you can get a better idea of the color. I'm glad I took the risk. I wasn't sure if I would like the white piping but it really enhances the look of this robe and makes it look classy. I was very surprised by what he added - and without him the robe would have looked ugly - which makes me very happy! Even with my morning hair disheveled, I look really good while making coffee ;) The fabric of this bathrobe is like a very soft, slightly stretchy t-shirt. It has no extra fabric under the arms like many robes and tops have. The cut is tight and narrow. The length hits me just above the top of my knee. I'm 5ft 3in, 34in, 142 and MEDIUM fits me perfectly. However, I could have worn a size down if I wanted it to fit better. However, it's cold where I live so I wanted some room to wear my base layer underneath. It's perfect for that while staying slim. I like that it's not bulky, which allows me to freely roll up my sleeves when doing stuff in the sink (which is a problem with my large Sherpa robe). The bathrobe has a shawl collar. So it has an internal drawcord It doesn't open up when you move The sleeve length is flatteringly long for me - not so long that it gets in the way, but just long enough to make my arm look longer and slimmer. There is also piping on the sleeve and it looks so pretty. It doesn't hang down hard so if you have bumps it follows them instead of riding over them if that makes sense - such a soft fabric. It washes well and I haven't lost any length. g between black and purple was a really difficult choice for me. I am now very happy that I have a new purple robe that I like very much.
