They are a bit big, I have a 30 inch waist and I went for the small one which fits very well. The material and construction are all very high quality, although there are a few touches that could be improved: The main color material is a really stretchy yet durable 4-way stretch fabric. The stitching is strong and the pockets have micro-prong zippers so they close tightly. The drawstring is strong and the elastic at the waist is good. They stretch a lot when climbing, for example, and are thin so you can cook when you sweat. This style featured slightly flared leg openings, but certainly not nearly as bad as basketball shorts. Unfortunately, they are in the same price range. as the Anthem brand shorts I ordered at the same time are almost identical but with even better material, construction and design, take the rest of the review accordingly. The inside pockets are made of light stretch mat. erial, but they are too narrow for me to comfortably carry the phone (it's large and easily fits in pockets) without chafing the zipper. The pockets are only attached in a few places inside, making it difficult for a heavy phone, wallet or keys to rattle (Anthem has pockets attached all around). The waistband is high-quality elastic but of regular thickness (unlike Anthem, which has an extra thin but equally strong elastic). Possibly due to the size, the small size I have works well for my waist, leg length and girth, but pockets that are clearly meant to be pockets on the sides of the thigh end up being pockets halfway down the front of the thigh (maybe be). not to mention anthem, I have an environment for it). I would probably choose an average size for my 30" waist, 5'7" height and 180 lb weight knowing what I know now, but I'm right on the edge of size. with or without pockets (zipper) most of the time and need extreme stretch and durability, but sometimes you need to stuff something in your bags between the car and the gym or whatever.
