After finally getting fed up with my comforter constantly sliding down the cover, I was happy to find these bed pins, which seemed to work (judging by the reviews ). I bought 8 packs and when they arrived I attached 3 of them to my duvet. At first I was happy with them, they did an excellent job of keeping my duvet in place, my only issue was that they are a bit pushy and uncomfortable; but still they did their job. A few weeks later I noticed that the little white plastic cap that goes over the needle pen had come loose exposing the tip of the pen. [NOTE: If the white cap comes off like it did in my case, it MUST be put back on before you can remove the pin. The magnetic "key" doesn't work without the white cap, at least for me] I put the cap back on and had the same problem a few days later. I've decided to swap them out for others I haven't used yet. However, the same problem arose: the sharp needle pin was left open. Today I got out of bed when this sharp open needle scratched my leg, OH! After treating my wound, I immediately removed all of those needles from my blanket and will never use them again. Yes, they hold the duvet in place (reason for two stars) BUT I don't think they're worth the risk of injury they can cause.- - -• The attached photos show that the white cover mentioned above comes with the needle pin is missing exposed.
