Review on RazoRock BLACK HAWK Single Razor by Michelle Kelley

Okay I'm in the minority because I see 12 out of 13 reviews are five stars. This is a very well made razor and appears to be a quality product. although it just didn't work. Every time I used it I ended up with a red, irritated face with missing pieces of skin and a few bleeding cuts. I've used Kai Mild Blades (Pinks) and Feather Artist Club Professional Blades with the same result each time. I think the razor I received is somehow defective. That said, the blade's "geometry" (angle, blade protrusion, and blade gap) just isn't quite right, and that's my guess. I tried changing my technique by moving very slowly and very lightly. However, it would be more annoying and shortening than getting rid of the mustache. After several shaves, different blades, different techniques and always with a messed up face, I finally gave up. While I'm not a wet shaving veteran, I think I know how to do it. I have a Rockwell 6c which works great and I have had success with cartridge razors such as Gillette Mach 3, Gillette Sensor, Schick X-Treme 3. I currently have a Merkur 23c.
