That's what I expected, they work great as I use them in my massage practice. My only complaint is that nothing can get caught on the sides. So when I get my hands on some oil, these mugs are a bit more difficult to work with, unlike other brands I've bought which have an extra ridge at the top which makes them a lot easier to handle.
