Reviews that say you take your time are absolutely correct. It doesn't take long, but it takes 35 to 45 minutes to get everything right. The instructions tell you to tighten each stitch individually, and while this is true, you can tighten two at a time. I have a 2002 Pontiac Firebird and it was almost perfect! The only reason it wasn't perfect was my fault, I had to let it sit in the heat a little longer and stretch it in the places I needed to stretch it. It looks amazing, it actually looks like a steering wheel, but more importantly I wanted the flimsy steering wheel to remain intact. I actually cross-stitched a hole so it ended up being a little bubble, but it fits so well that I don't have a single issue that bothers me, and that issue was actually 100% my fault! I actually asked the seller a question because according to the reviews it was the only hat I wanted, they never came back with me. So if anyone has the same question here is the answer if this size would fit the 2002 Pontiac Firebird and I have found the size of the ax to be perfect!
