Review on Fashionable And Comfortable Women'S Ankle Boots With Low Heel: Vepose Lace Up Booties by Lawrence Feldman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I’m really loving these

I needed a new lace-up style ankle boot because my old granny boots are worn and actually are now too tall in the heel for my messed up knees. So, I started on the hunt. I had already ordered a pair of paddock boots from Arial, but those are taller and were purchased for riding. I wanted a similar pair of boots that weren’t too warm but would keep my feet dry and comfy during cold months. It’s always a challenge because I have wide duck feet (wide at the ball of the foot, narrow heels) as well as a super high instep. So, even if I’m able to find a shoe that’s wide enough across the bottom of my foot, it can still be a challenge to get something that will fully fit over the top of my instep without gapping or pressure. Well, these work! I bought them in 9C and would have gotten D if they were available. However, they cover my instep comfortably, have a nicely rounded toe box that doesn’t squeeze the outside of my foot, and a nice low heel that won’t stress my knees. The only negative to these (which is why 4 stars instead of 5), and that’s just my preference, is the side zipper. Yes, it does make it easy to get into the boot once you’ve set the laces how you want them, but that zipper also becomes a point of vulnerability when it’s wet outside, which is frequent during fall, winter, and spring here in the midwest. I did make a point of wearing these around the house for a day, letting them sit for a couple of days, and then trying them again. Not sure what the magic is about shoes, but that second wearing can so often end up feeling much tighter than the first. Not with these - they were just as comfortable that second time I put them on, and that’s when I committed to keeping them. And, little bonus, they even include an extra set of laces with the boots - love it! I’ve now worn them outside a few times. The soles are great at absorbing shock, they don’t rub at all, and, best of all, my knees don’t ache afterward. Definitely keepers.

Pros
  • They are comfortable and fit well.
Cons
  • The ankle boot design may not be suitable for those with wide ankles
