I was at a friend's house trying to identify the switch that powered the socket in the bedroom. When I plugged in the transmitter, the UPS in the room started beeping like there was a power outage in the room. Therefore, this Ideal 61-534 Digital Circuit Breaker Identifier trips AFCI circuit breakers. This type of circuit breaker is required in bedrooms per NEC 2011 Article 210.12 Arc Fault Protection. I don't like it because AFCIs will be in all new homes. One bedroom house built since 2008 has an AFCI circuit breaker. That this device disables these switches is very inconvenient. If someone has something in the bedroom, e.g. B. a computer that can't be turned off and I plug this device in * BOOM * all Unsaved work on this computer is gone. This is not good. But on the other hand I really like this device. I got other devices to identify CBs with an accuracy of 2 CB. Well, that's not good. So I heard good things about it and bought it. I am happy with them. It finds all the switches correctly on the first pass. I can't give it 5 starts as it trips the AFCI circuit breakers.
