Finally got around to using this tape on a project. It is super sticky and a little tricky to use. It tends to stick to your scissors or knife when you are cutting it and will leave a residue on the tool which can be removed with solvent. I used denatured alcohol which happened to be at hand. Once it is on the intended object though, it seams to hold on tight. I think it will take a little trial and error to find a cutting process that works but, I think this tape will be useful for lots of different projects which need aggressive double stick tape. It does have some thickness, a few mils and a thin white flexible plastic film of some sort which is bound into the core of the adhesive. Good stuff and the seller was super friendly.
