Review on Merrell Kid's Moab 2 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot: Durable and Protective Footwear for Young Adventure Seekers by Chef Deane

Bought for my daughter for a recent trip. Unfortunately, the only option we could find in their size that looked like tough hiking boots was a brown color for boys. She didn't pay attention to the color at all. We chose size 11 for our 4.5 year old and they fit the growth well. They had great toe traction which helped her when climbing rocks. She splashed in the puddles and said her feet stayed dry. My only concern is that the laces feel flimsy and stretch a bit when we tie them tight. They may need to be replaced over time but they still appear to be quality walking shoes.
