So the rubber seal is not red (it's black) but for installing a bike wheel, who cares? After installation you can't see the bearings. I installed these bearings in the rear wheel of a Stans S1 Flow mountain bike. I removed the old bearings with a homemade bearing puller. I took a piece of 1/2" steel pipe and cut four slits in it, about 2" long. Then he bent the ends slightly, pulled halfway through the hub and knocked out the old bearings. These replacement bearings came fairly easily using my home made bearing press (1/2" threaded rod with 2 washers and screws each side (picture attached). It's also worth popping in the removed bearings as they fit snugly into the new bearings for a straighter fit Seat. The bearings are well rolled once, I will report on the durability when riding.
