I am the coach and the father of baseball. My boys have been hitting this shit all year long (inside the winter). A great way to stay in shape during the off-season and a good warm up before baseball practice. I would NOT use an expensive racquet on it, but we use a heavier $30 wooden racquet. It will knock the shit out of the wooden bat, so don't use your game bats. Both my boys are racquets and at one point tore the nylon holding the ball in place but it still holds up. With good observation and proper training, you can work on swinging your players and developing good habits. This is by no means a substitute for cage time, but it will provide good mechanics and muscle memory.
