I love this dress! Received many compliments. I'm 5'2, 190 lbs, big butt and big legs and I bought the large and it fits great. The lace was a bit loose but I used a safety pin and it worked fine. I also used a thong garment which worked great. Regarding the length, I was wearing a 2 1/2 inch heel and it dragged a bit but not enough to be annoying. I would not recommend flat sandals or shoes if you are the same size as me. Overall very comfortable and sexy. I paired it with a denim jacket towards the end of the night when it got chilly and it still looked very cute. The thigh slits are a little high, but that's not a big deal for me. If too high then nothing can be fixed with safety pins or even sewing. I would definitely recommend this dress for a date or even a wedding!
