I bought this to use as an oil/hot oil dispenser. It's well done but has a potentially very dangerous flaw. The spring-loaded plastic rod that allows the brush to be pushed into the contents of the jar consists of three interconnected parts that cannot avoid enclosing part of the contents of the jar and cannot even be partially cleaned without disassembly . In my opinion, it cannot be completely erased at all. If you were to use this jar for something like a marinade, a small amount of marinade would be left in the chute that isn't visible. The next time you use the stick it will leave a small amount of old marinade on the brush from the inside of the stick. This is a design that is an absolute invitation to food poisoning.
