The cat house requires no tools to assemble. There are no instructions included either. There is a thin piece of paper that says to refer to online instructions. I think it's a bit silly. I think the company just wants to save money. But for the price, I think a sheet of paper with instructions would suffice. This is a very intuitive setting. In fact, it only lasted a few minutes. The roof is a little tricky and requires you to install it before latching it. The materials are good. It's a thin wood material but strong enough. There are nice details in the windows and on the roof. The colors are attractive and the dark and light woods add visual interest. The finished house looks beautiful. It has been adequately studied and is suitable for an animal the size of a cat and smaller.
