I think it's a bit small for my big cat (12.8lbs and large/long) but she manages to get in and turn around and she does loves it so i think it works fine. Attached is a photo of a large child. The cat house requires no tools to assemble. There are no instructions included either. There is a thin piece of paper that says to refer to online instructions. I think it's a bit silly.
