Edifier is an acquired taste although I personally bought it. Like Sennheiser, Creative and Klipsche, they have their own unique sound profile and it's "bright". They emphasize high frequencies and their weakness is that they also tend to sound a bit strained at high frequencies. That means they're great for pop music. They are great for vapor waves. They are great for music in video games. They are great for audio books and anything with texture as they are sharp and detailed. I would NOT use them for listening to opera, classical music, hip hop/rap, jazz or movies (probably). In any case, this applies to the entire Edifier brand. But listen, people recommend their speakers for those just starting out with vinyl, and I absolutely recommend this brand to anyone looking to break away from Skullcandy and Koss and step up to something higher, to take their first step into the big world of high - high quality sound. All of this sets the stage for this. When I found out Edifier was releasing a pair of noise-cancelling Bluetooth wireless headphones, I just had to see what they were capable of because I bought two cheap ($30) Chinese wireless headphones from an unnamed one brands that were EXCELLENT and I've never liked anything with noise canceling in my life (that usually gives me a headache). In any case, I approached them with an open mind. First, they are extremely comfortable. They fit your head like suede gloves fit your hands. They do get a bit hot and sweaty after prolonged wear, but a lot less than the big Bluetooth headphones I've used before. They are ideal for walks in autumn weather, which is why I bought them. The sound profile is the same as the Edifier, but better than other branded headphones I've tested. The soundstage is wider, the sound is cleaner, the frequency response is fuller and the high frequencies are less "squeaky". Also, they have some nice features. There are several sound modes that sound when switched. By default there's noise cancelling, noise canceling off, ambient sounds (suitable for nature sounds on a plane flight I think) and a game mode. I'm not sure what exactly the game mode does, but it's there. I don't usually like noise cancellation, but this one is great. I use air purifiers and dehumidifiers at home and it turns the roar into a whisper. Traffic is heavy around my block and that's due to the roar of the traffic making it sound like every car is electric. Seriously, when you're crossing the street the noise-cancellation here is dangerous, as you might not hear the car until it crushes you like a bug. Oh yeah, and it doesn't give me a headache, so it's nice. The buttons on the headset work well and it's not that difficult to distinguish them when you reach behind your head (nice convenience). I wish the power button's hold time wasn't so long (I have to hold the power button for about five seconds to turn it off), but that's pretty much my only gripe. I've never had a drop in signal and no static electricity. on signal unlike other Bluetooth headsets and headphones I've used. To be honest, for this sound quality I thought they would cost $300. $150 to $200 would be nice too. But for €60? Check them out, if you like the Edifier and think 90% noise cancellation is enough (and like tight over-ear headphones with soft "leather" material), they're a must-have. I have Sennheiser and Creative H3 headphones for serious music listening over the wire, unnamed Bluetooth headphones for winter trips when I need something half-headphones, half-headphones. But for an autumn walk in the fresh air and listening to audio books and pop music, as far as I know, you can't get any better for the price. Especially with active noise cancellation like you'd typically find on $200-$300 headphones.
