Touch buttons aren't the best idea.
Despite adequate lighting and exceptional battery life, the idea that the touchpad is the right control for it is ridiculous! He's too sensitive. If you accidentally touch the stems, this side will change color. Very frustrating. Also, each side is independent! It would be better if every side touch would change the color of BOTH sides! Who wants "yellow" on the left and "blue" on the right? This device WORKS, but I would prefer a dimmer to a color switch, and I would prefer a "clicker" switch to a "touch" switch.
