I have an older dog that has molars covered in brown stone. We used to take him to the vet every few years, but we don't want to risk anesthesia anymore - he's too old. I have tried toothbrush and pet toothpaste but the brush is not effective on hard tartar. I tried this product and it works very well! It's like using an electric toothbrush - you'll get much better results - the same goes for pet teeth. I used a quality charcoal toothpaste (pet toothpaste will do) with a brush head and it worked. There are 3 more nozzles for cleaning and polishing. I couldn't charge the device from the computer, but two AA batteries started it up very well. I wish I had had this electric pet toothbrush years ago! It would be good to teach a dog of any age how to properly care for the oral cavity - this can save money on the vet and the negative effects of anesthesia.
