Great little machine, works just as well as my name's machine

Made in China, this little vacuum sealer performed just as well as my larger branded unit. The seal came well packaged with a few small rolls of pouch material and some ready to use flat pouches to get you started. . They were very similar to my more expensive branded bags and rolls and worked flawlessly. The seal looks great in black with a stainless steel finish. It has a cutter which I found poor and difficult to use so I just used my scissors. It also has a hose if you have nozzles that use the hose (nozzles are not included so I didn't try). To start using the roll, cut a piece of the roll a few inches longer than the item will need. be sealed. Sealing takes about 1-2 inches from the top for the sealing process. Put one end of the roll into the machine and press the "Seal" button to seal it. This machine has a good wide seal, which is good. A NOTICE. When sealing, the bag should have the rough side facing down and the shiny side facing up. Now put the item in the bag - in my case I tested with a pair of socks. I know it's weird, isn't it? But they are fluffy and try to let the air out. Place the top of the bag in the area between the black styrofoam pieces as you can see in the 6th picture. The open portion of the bag to be sealed MUST be in the area between the black foam pieces or it will not draw in air and seal. Also make sure the rough side of the bag is facing down and the shiny side is facing up. Push on both sides of the machine until you hear a click. A NOTICE. This machine takes a little effort to make them click down. This will be the hardest part of using this machine. If you don't squeeze them, it won't vacuum and seal. Now simply press the 'vacuum/seal wet' button (or 'vacuum/seal wet items' such as vegetables or meat) and hold until it seals and unlocks. I've attached a video so you can see him sealing his socks. It took 52 seconds to vacuum them. A feature of this seal is that it is much quieter than my seal brand. My trademark always reminds me of an airplane taking off, but this car is pretty quiet. I made a lot of bags of flour and sugar the same day because I was on vacation on vacation and I always vacuumed my flour. and sugar, and then freeze them for a few days to ensure they stay bug-free on my pantry shelves. I've also tried several brands of pouches and seal rolls. (pssstttt. all the buns worked great and still hold the vacuum well, but that's for other reviews.) The vacuum sealer sealed all the flour and sugar bags perfectly and I had no problems. the first vacuum sealer in the early 90's from a tv commercial, in love and never regretted. I went through a few because I use my vacuum sealer for a lot of things other than food all the time. I've sealed paperwork, socks and towels when we go sailing or boating to make sure we end up with clean dry towels and socks when we tip the canoe, clothes when I'm packing and want to be able to, easy Food to take away for vacuuming, cooking or just warming up by throwing the bag in boiling water, marinating food - vacuum packs really bring the marinade into the meat, making it tasty and very tender, as well as many other things. Sometimes I prefreeze foods like broths and then vacuum seal them to keep them fresh. Ammo is another thing that can be vacuum packed to keep it fresh and not break it. The ways I use my vacuum sealer are endless! This little vacuum sealer did a great job and would make a great gift. I recommend.
