Review on TORCHSTAR 4 Inch Slim LED Panel Downlight: Dimmable, Ultra-Thin, ETL & Energy Star Listed, 5000K Daylight - Pack of 6 by Ellen Chase

I've installed a decent amount of downlights and this is my new favorite, especially for old work. I have placed them in the kitchen and bedroom and have hardly had to check the rivets because they are so thin. I used a star pattern (5 lights) for both rooms, 3ft from the wall, 4ft apart (on an 8ft ceiling) and I had no weird shadows. As with most other reviews, my only complaints are: 1- They're not quite 4" in diameter, I used a 4" and 1/4" hole saw and I only had to trim a bit where one of the lugs rises. 2- Once you have fitted a wire stopper to the junction box it is almost impossible to screw it into the stud. Honestly, I'm so happy with the price, performance, and ease of installation that I can't deduct a star for 2 negative points. These really are the best jigs to buy once your drywall is already installed.
