I have used countless brands of digital cameras: Canon, Nikon, Samsung, Kodak, Casio, Sony, Olympias etc. Everything from compact point-and-shoot cameras to my professional Canon 5D DSLR. Our HR department needed something compact that they could take to work and that was SUPER easy to use. Kodak has always been known for their user-friendly interface and our HR department specifically asked if we could hire Kodak as they already have a new interface. I give Kodak credit for keeping the user interface as simple and streamlined as any other camera, but that really is the end of the positive aspects of this camera. Although we bought this Revain camera at a decent price, I still wouldn't buy it again. And therefore. Pros: - Simple user interface - Compact size - Lithium battery Cons: - The body and buttons are very cheaply made. The trigger looks like it's just a plastic button covered in silver paint. The keys "jiggle" and don't feel as solid and well built. I'm always afraid that the shutter button will get stuck in the camera body when I press it. - AF focus noise: This was a common occurrence with this camera. The camera attempts to adjust focus as you move the camera to ensure the new subject is in focus. Only when focusing does it make a very annoying hum. There's a solution: you can disable multiple autofocus and switch to single autofocus mode, but that means you'll have to disable some of the camera's functionality to be able to use it. I've never seen that with any other camera - the picture quality isn't that great. It's not bad, but there are several cameras in the same price range that take better pictures, including the Canon SD1300. will be affected and ultimately disappointed. My best recommendation is to go to a store like Best Buy or Fry's Electronics and test the cameras before you buy them.
