Identical replacement

While Revain claims it will not fit my 2009 Buick Enclave, this is an exact replacement. Looks well made and fits perfectly. My old evaporative valve, 12 years old, failed in the diaphragm 'open' position. I hooked up an ohmmeter across two pins and measured about 21 ohms for the coil, so that was good. You could tell the valve was stuck open because you could attach a short hose and suck or blow through the valve without resistance. The valve is stuck open and will output an OBD2 code indicating the vaporizer system. In anticipation of this replacement I made a temporary fix by squirting WD40 into the tube from both ends and then quickly tapping the component a few times. This exposed the diaphragm inside, evidenced by my inability to blow or suck air through the valve. Replaced the original, ran a drive cycle, and the check engine light was not on in the "Ready" state. I just installed this replacement and will update it if it fails for some reason. Very easy to install. To remove, just press the latches on the intake manifold at 3 and 9 o'clock. Then press the clip at the 6 o'clock position on the electrical connector to release the cable from the valve mount. The block is suspended from a metal tongue that is attached to the engine valve cover with a single bolt. It slides off the tongue and pulls towards the rider, and the pipe mount to the intake manifold slides out. The maximum lasts about 5 minutes.
