I have an elderly pug who occasionally has accidents when we don't realize he needs to go outside. She also has a perianal tumor that she is trying to remove, causing her to bleed. They are ideal for reducing swelling as well as adding absorbency to prevent cloth diaper leakage. However, you can switch too easily. Not sure if an extension will help keep them in place.
