S Smartomni LC3013 compatible ink cartridges are a great high capacity ink cartridge replacement for your Brother printer. Contains eight cartridges: two black, two yellow, two magenta, and two cyan. Everything arrived well sealed and individually wrapped in plastic bags. All had whole tongues. The cartridges look and function like OEM Brother cartridges. I used them in my MFC-J895DW printer and they snapped easily into place. The printer had no trouble detecting cartridges, but like most third-party cartridges, the printer didn't detect how much ink was left in each cartridge. It doesn't matter but you should be vigilant when using such third party cartridges to make sure you don't use them when they are empty as this can damage the print head. The printer worked well with cartridges. No sticking, no missing pixels, no sticky work. Black and white text was indistinguishable from Brother OEM cartridges and full color printing worked well. I'd say the colors aren't as vivid as Brother's OEM inks, but they're fine for most work and school projects. Photos can be edited, but again the MFC-J895DW is quite a workhorse, but not suitable for high-quality photo printing with Brother inks or the like. I can't say anything about the ink stability. Fading or discoloration over time is probably more common with cheaper pigments, but I haven't printed with these cartridges in over a week, so it's very difficult for me to comment at this point. If for any reason you need to print documents that will stand the test of time, you can use Brother OEM ink and very high quality acid-free paper. Please note that using third party cartridges will technically void your warranty. on your printer. My printer is pretty old and if it had problems I would just replace it. However, any time you use a third-party ink, you do so at your own risk. I prefer third party inks because they are cheaper and like these cartridges do their job well. I am more than happy with these cartridges for everyday use. highlighted.
