A Healthy Alternative Treat for Our Dogs

These are the best tendon chews I've found for our puppy. She loves them and a single tendon lasts her for a couple of days. A small dog would probably make it last much longer. Tendon chews are way better for your dog than rawhide Because rawhide can cause blockages. Tendon chews dissolve, so they're better for your pet. This company appears to make an effort to produce a product that is healthy for dogs.

Pros
  • It's nice to have a wholesome treat that lasts more than 5 minutes and also cleans their teeth.
Cons
  • One tendon has 2 dead flies and hairs. Other tendons have long and short hairs, see pictures attached

I think I got the end of the run,,,,

I purchased 4 of the large knaws because I wasn't going to order for a while. the first packages were like the others , three knuckles tapering down to about 6 or 7 inches. the third one was about two knuckles and tapering down too two strands and the the last one was about the same. Dillan (my dog ate them as fast as the turkey strands I usually get him for an after dinner treat. What happened to the last two bags? Seems like they didn't have the knuckles and were not quite as long. Should I…

Pros
  • Not too many in the package but the 6 mos lab puppy loved them.
Cons
  • Finn loved them. Only problem was they didn’t last as long as he would have liked.

For large dogs is RIGHT!

My dogs like these chews, but IMO the manufacturer either needs to put more chews in each bag or make each chew a bit smaller. They are LARGE, and I've been having to cut these in half for my labs and that is no easy task.

Pros
  • Dogs loved'em
Cons
  • Can cause bad breath in dogs

Expensive for the five minutes it took my dog to eat it.

My dog liked it. She ate one in five minutes but for the price, I can't keep buying them. I read from others that it took time for their dog to eat so I took a chance. Not happy I spent so much on these.

Pros
  • Dog stays busy
Cons
  • May not be suitable for puppies

Skinny tendons, fast chew time, inconsistent product

**edit- dog stopped wanting these at all. Hidden in couch never to be retrieved.Very disappointed. Have been buying these for my whippet who is a fast chewer with a lot of food sensitivities. These are his favorite chews. The last bag had very thick tendons that were almost the thickness of a bully stick. They actually took him some time to chew. The ones that came today were very skinny and one was gone in less than 3 minutes. So sad these are not consistent as they're a great alternative to…

Pros
  • These chews are a great alternative to traditional chew toys, which can sometimes be made from harmful materials that can cause health problems
Cons
  • Can lead to excessive drooling or salivation in some dogs

Our American Bulldog loves these

She really enjoys these tendons as they are usually demolished within a few minutes. They're a pretty good deal, too, even if they are somewhat inconsistent in sizing from pack to pack. As long as she likes them, we'll keep getting them.

Pros
  • They are also available in a variety of flavors, so you can find the perfect treat to suit your dog's tastes
Cons
  • Can lead to dental fractures or injuries if not properly monitored

Great product! on my review.

Great for heavy chewers as my German Shepherd. Took her a little while to chew it up. Almost the whole day. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Great treat that is not smelly or messy
Cons
  • May be too tough or challenging for some dogs to chew

A favorite long lasting treat

Our pup enjoys chewing on the tendons. One tendon can keep her occupied for several hours. We limit to two a week. Great value for the number of tendons in the bag!

Pros
  • These chews can also help to reduce anxiety in dogs, as the act of chewing can be calming and soothing
Cons
  • May be too hard or crunchy for dogs with sensitive teeth or gums

He LOVED IT… Gone in 10 minutes…

Ranger loved is beef tendon so much it was gone in LESS than 10 minutes. He’s a big boy, yes (GSD) but for $3.00 EACH, I thought I might get an hour of chewing? The claim of "hours of fun” are WAY overstated.

Pros
  • These chews are available in a range of sizes to suit dogs of all breeds and sizes
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with a history of choking incidents

unsafe for dogs with strong bites

If you have a hard core chewer- this treat is not for you. my dogs bit off big chunks and tried to swallow them whole-- causing retching, barfing and sour tummies. plus the smell terrible like a barn!

Pros
  • Varied in size but my dog loved them
Cons
  • Can be difficult to hold for some dogs

Much better than rawhide

My 8 month old puppy LOVES them! They are more nutritious than rawhide and much safer too. They are a bit expensive but for the health and safety of your pet I'm more than willing to pay more.

Pros
  • Treats
Cons
  • May pose a choking hazard if not properly supervised during use

Bugs & STINK good for me

Opened up pack & the smell nearly knocks you out. I don’t know if it’s rotten? Or just that is normal?I went to give the dog one & noticed a black spot, thought it was just part of hyde, but then it started moving. Noticed moderate amount of black, crustacean type worms!I plan to try to get reimbursement. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pros
  • They are perfect for teething puppies, as they can help to soothe sore gums and provide relief from the discomfort of teething
Cons
  • Can become a choking hazard if not appropriately sized for individual dogs

Not so natural: my feedback

I bought them for my pups birthday. He didn't get them. They smell like a bully stick, which I don't give to my pups. Very bad smell. This was the first I received a tendon product smelling so bad. Luckily he had other yummy gifts which he loved.

Pros
  • They are an affordable and convenient option for providing your dog with a natural and healthy treat
Cons
  • May not be as satisfying to chew on as other rawhide alternatives

Tendon Chews: my feedback

My dog loves these tendons and it would last a little longer than most chews. I have a 65pound Husky so the longevity isn't significant but it'll keep him busy for 15-20minutes.

Pros
  • These chews are long-lasting, giving your dog hours of chewing pleasure
Cons
  • May cause blockages if consumed too quickly or improperly

Great brand of tendon chews.

My dogs love the tendon chews. They last a decent amount of time. My younger dog chews them up more quickly than does my older dog. The odor is not as bad as other similar products but unfortunately they still smell yuck but the whole room doesn’t stink. I’m a repeat customer and recommend this product.

Pros
  • My fur babies love them!
Cons
  • My dog did not care for these gnaws.

Dogs love them! on my review.

My dogs LOVE Nature Gnaws tendon chews. I feel like they are better for their teeth and health than pig ears. I buy them constantly for 3 happy dogs!

Pros
  • Stimulation for Teething Puppy and Active Dogs
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with missing teeth

Highly recommend: my feedback

My dog is very picky about food or treats. She used to love greenies, then she stopped chewing them.Beef tendons are amazing. It is takes her awhile and grabs whole her attention to work on them. And it keeps her teeth clean

Pros
  • Our dog loves these and a bit cheaper than bully sticks!
Cons
  • May not last as long as advertised for extremely aggressive chewers
