Got this model and the chrome version from Home Depot. This model does not include a shower head. I live in Los Angeles, a city known for its poor water quality. After a recent move, my skin became very dry and itchy, sometimes with a mild rash/hives after showering. My normally beautiful skin was parched and aged, my highlighted hair was dull and colorless. I blamed it on stress until my hairstylist mentioned that her clients in the mountains were complaining of similar issues and recommended a shower filter. The Sprite brand was rated so highly that I immediately noticed the difference; My hair was like hair again, no more need for the fancy facial moisturizers I bought. When I wash my face with unfiltered water from the sink instead of taking a shower, I feel a huge difference. The bad news: Sprite filters still don't remove chloramine (the crude mixture of chlorine and ammonia used in public drinking/bathing water). As mentioned, I noticed a big difference in water quality. So until I find an alternative that removes everything, this is a great option. I deducted a star as the unit I bought (household goods) was a little stiff. In order to screw it in properly, some water drips from the top or bottom. I expect to have to replace it sooner than 6 months due to the hardness of my water. I agree with that and given the price how much it helped.
