I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S SM-T800 32GB Wi-Fi 10.5" Titanium Bronze for my 5 year old grandson .This tablet has low volume so I bought a mini speaker that runs on 2 AAA batteries for $1.Inside there was a powerful 4 ohm 3w speaker with a 3- W-LM4871 audio power amplifier with power down mode Supply voltage range from 2.0V to 5.5V Use this extra cable to connect the speaker to the tablet Tried with 2 x 900mAh batteries rated at 2.5 volts The volume was a bit higher, but the sound quality isn't very good.$1.00 worth of noise reduction speakers added, this is a simple low-pass filter to remove part of the audio spectrum above 3000Hz, consisting of That's a 5 ohm 2.5w resistor and a 10uF non-polarized electrolytic capacitor rated at at least 16v. The sound quality has improved and I use 4 of these in all my tablets. By adding a 3.5 plug to a USB 2.0 plug, I am powering the speaker from a 5V DC adapter. Adding a 1A diode in series brought the voltage down to 4.6 volts. Now this mini speaker has enough volume, good sound and eliminates the need to buy AAA batteries. I usually use a $1 audio cable from the dollar tree store but it's hit or miss so I ordered this audio cable and was happy with it.
