High Failure Rate: Looping

There aren't many options for 80mm stem tubes, so despite the not-so-great reviews for these tubes, I bought and used a few. When they work I have no complaints, however I have experienced a high failure rate. One blew out on my front wheel where the tire had come off the rim. Luckily I wasn't in the corner when it happened. When I took it out I saw that the stitching had come undone (sorry I didn't take a picture). Last week I fell after going over broken glass, which wasn't the tube's fault, but the new one I installed broke one day - it ripped out where the stem exits the tube. I was unfortunate that I had to remove the rear wheel again to install another tube. The one I have now is holding up pretty well. I now use talcum powder every time I change tubes to ensure the tube can move inside the tire during inflation and think maybe my faults are with the flexing/folding in the tire but the last case which is due to the Rod failed I think was just poor quality control and possibly a seam mismatch.
