Absorbs well and is gentle on the skin (down to the hard root), but started falling apart after the first use in the shower. After 3-4 uses it has almost completely disintegrated and is hardly used. It might be fine for a light bath or baby scrub, but touting it as "great for everyone" is overkill. Update: This company was kind enough to contact me after my initial review. . The photo shows the first sponge, which broke after several uses. The company said this is not usually the case and sent me 2 more for free. These 2 new ones work quite well and are stronger than the first one. A pretty good sponge for the price, but if you use it in the shower you can do without it.
