This recorder is fine. I can easily transfer MP3 files to Windows 10. Desktop or Surface. It runs for over 12 hours on a single AAA battery. This is a small format. It takes some time to learn how to press the buttons to program the voice recorder, but it's pretty intuitive. When you need a voice recorder, this little one can stay in your purse or shirt pocket. Works more than 12 hours. This is not a new model. It has been for many years. I like the MP3 format though, no software required. Simply remove the bottom cover, it reveals the USB connector, plug it into the computer and transfer MP3 files by simply opening the folder and moving the files to a new folder on the computer. Easy. I've never lost a single recording, except when the recorder was on for so long [I forgot to turn it off] that it actually went off and I lost the file. However, the recorder worked fine after replacing the racket.
